When Melanie and her family moved to Florida, things did not go as planned.
Melanie,
her husband, and 3 kids ended up living out of hotels with the
occasional, unexpected "camping trip" when things got even tighter.
Melanie and her 8 year old daughter, Jane, came to Christian HELP after
one of their "camping trips", covered in bug bites, with Jane wearing
only an over-sized men's t-shirt. With no way to wash their clothes,
that t-shirt was the only thing clean for Jane to wear.
Jim,
Melanie's husband, took a part time labor job while Melanie cared for
their children. The Smith family was barely staying afloat when she
reached out for help. We were able to provide much needed food for their
family and 3 new donated backpacks for the school year. Timothy is
starting a full time job this week and their family is now in a home.
